Evelyn Cañas

"Looking for that sense of belonging is what we desire as humans. Feeling accepted from others is not always easily obtained which can sometimes create states of distress, panic and loneliness. Self reflection is integral for growth but is not always practiced. Rebuilding that connection with yourself and others in your life can be difficult, but you don’t have to do it alone.

My focus is always to remain in the moment with you and support you to reach your fullest potential through identifying, acknowledging, and shifting behaviours and thoughts that can lead to more desired results. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, seen and understood while helping you navigate unique moments in your life.

With the lived experience of being a daughter to first generation immigrant parents of Hispanic culture, I acknowledge and understand that who we are and how we identify impacts how we experience life, our hardships and successes. 

In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, doing activities such as camping and hiking. When I get some quiet time, I enjoy crafting as well".

Evelyn has basic proficiency in Spanish and is available for online sessions with children and youth.
